Make-A-Wish NENY Support
At Make-A-Wish NENY, to date Play It Foreward 518 has funded four heartfelt wishes for local children facing a life-threatening illness.

Wish Highlight - Tommy's Pro Bowl Wish
In January 2016, Play It Foreward, 518, Inc. sponsored a wish for local teenager Tommy, a cancer survivor. Tommy’s heartfelt wish was to attend the NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii. While in Hawaii, Tommy and his family had the opportunity to meet and spend time with many of his favorite NFL players including Odell Beckham Jr, Eric Berry, Julio Jones, and Adrian Peterson just to name a few.
In addition to attending practice, meeting several players and attending the NFL Pro Bowl game, Tommy and his family attended a luau and were able to take in the sights and sounds of Hawaii. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and just what he needed. For Tommy and his family, this trip will be remembered for the rest of their lives.
The Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer at Albany Medical Center Support
Play It Foreward 518, Inc. has established a fund to support diversion activities for the children and their families that are receiving treatments at the Melodies Center during their time of need. Our work to date with hospital staff has allowed current patients to receive holiday meals, Halloween Costumes, tickets to shows at local venues including Proctors and the Palace Theatre and a Super Bowl Party Package.
Annually Play It Foreward 518 has partnered with Siena College Men's Basketball Team for the Honorary Captain Program. At each home game, patients serve as an Honorary Captain for the Siena College Men's Basketball Team. We thank Siena Athletics for the support of Play It Foreward 518! Please note that due to COVID19, this program is currently on pause. We look forward to resuming this special program when spectators are once again allowed at games.
